Can we work to at least establish a range of speeds/tiers?
Cox and Time Warner offer different speeds/tiers per area, but the names of those tiers are at least consistent..... |

Have not found the upstream speeds yet.
Edit:
Upload for 3.0 is 256 kbps
5.0 is 512 kbps

In the southern cali area (at least in Long Beach) the packages and prices are:
3000/256 (or might be 384up) $39.99/mo (i think)
5000/512 $51.99/mo
10000/1000 $69.99/mo |

Ok. Do these speed/price ranges look accurate for unbundled service offered to new customers?
•Charter HSI 3.0: 3 Mbps/256kbps : $39.99-$54.99•Charter HSI 5.0: 5Mbps/512kbps : $51.99-$59.99•Charter HSI 10.0: 10Mbps/1Mbps : $69.99-$79.99
Does anyone pay prices or see speeds that are outside these ranges?
It looks like speeds are consistent (not the case with Cox & TWC) while prices are not.
Can someone simply explain Charter's bundled discount pricing? (how much off for adding VoIP, or adding TV?) |

Good luck on that !
I would not be surprised if there were hundreds of "Special" deals and discounts floating around . As well as the prices on the web site , there seem to be all kinds of promos advertised in the papers and by direct mail .
The closest I could come would be to say that the more you sign up for , the cheaper each part becomes .
Currently digital cable , 5 meg internet , and phone seems to be going for around $100 plus junk fees a month for 1 year .That's for Madison , I am sure it varies by region . |

Going to the site doesn't necessarily give you an answer either since if I go and put I my address it says only 3 meg and 5 meg are available. I know for FACT that 10 meg has been available for 6 months now. |

They really make it difficult to figure out savings by bundling services. This is what I have put together as my best guess looking around the site:
After the promotional rate, cable TV and 5.0 internet is 109.80 per month. It is called the "Big and 5 Mbps".
The "Big and 3 Mbps" is $102.98 after the promo period.
It looks like the cable TV is $59.99 per month alone. If that is the case it appears that combining services saves about $10 to $11 per month.
