Doesn't anyone else see the irony in Symantec's announcement considering the repeated successful hacks on their a/v software?
Which is another reason they have no business in the Vista Kernel And even when they have finished with tweaks on their final version for vista it will just make the other third party programs users install still vunerable to attack when they(symantec) fail to keep up with a required update, faster than the user can knowingly or by mistake surf to or click on the vectors of blended threats.
The other irony is why it took them so long to figure out they did not have the "right stuff" or engine to handle adware and spyware..the stuff we then called malware..with their AV. And don't even mention the word trojan..heck they were an AV company..everyone knew that everyone that is except the user of their past products..So symantec came out with all these fancy standalone cleaners..following reluctantly in the footsteps of Panda who had free removers/cleaners/system repairers all wrapped up in one neat package for every major bad boy that crippled the OS.
