| Inconsistent Speed Tests
So i've had my dsl since friday. I've been seeing that my speed tests are all over the place. Have a look at my results from this morning. My line stats look good. Any ideas what gives? I can post more resultsif you want to see

| reply to Milkster Hmm... You try disconnecting and reconnecting? Maybe disconnect, wait about 5 to 10 minutes, then reconnect.... Being as you were a new connection as of the 16th, maybe something didn't sync up properly.... ??? Not sure at the moment. I've finally been able to do some more testing and my preliminary results seem to point in the direction of my router. I get consistent 4000Kbps down when i'm connected with a cable but when i go wireless the speeds are all over the place.
I have a dlink di-624 and i updated to the newest firmware thinking that this might solve my problem but much to my surprise it made things worse! Now the router reboots every 20min. LOL
Anyway, just though i'd let you know that it appears its nothing on your end. Just my shitty equipment.  |
