Sprint's speeds are still great, as is the latency. When I was in HSDPA cities like Columbus, the data card would drop down to EDGE repeatedly going down the road. When you're driving through the heart of Columbus, this shouldn't happen. Even with the HSDPA, I wasn't impressed. Nor was I impressed with Cingular's data cards not allowing me to data roam. And what commercial is this? I think we both know there would be a lawsuit if Sprint was blatantly lying about Cingular (in the same way Cingular does about the fewest dropped calls). -- | DW6000 SatMex5 1130 | Windows XP MCE SP2 | Mobile AMD Athlon 64 4000+ | 1.5GB RAM | ATI Mobile Radeon X600 128MB | 120GB HDD |

| its the commercial where they have two goobers sitting next to one another and the sprint guy says yes to every city they mention access in and the cingular guy says no to every one.
I suspect Cingular will be issuing a statement to Sprint to either pull or edit the commercial to reflect the truth. -- "WHEN THE LAUGH TRACK STARTS THEN THE FUN STARTS!" |

Cingular is terrible coverage in this area. there is only VZ evdo, but IMHO print has the best service in this area. Sprint is horrible, god forbid you have a technical or customer service problem. -- "He who is not afraid today to say 'no' to the repressive machinery of a criminal bureaucracy earns the right to be called a Human Being." | reply to inteller Personally, I don't care. Cingular still doesn't really have much coverage in Los Angeles (San Fernando valley = Los Angeles) , Denver and Minneapolis.
Sprint, on the other hand, may have more 3G coverage, but their network is so small, that I'd be roaming most of the time. Do handoffs between Sprint and Verizon work without dropping ? I don't think so.
Each have their advantages and disadvantages, and both companies have their PR spin doctors out to promote their company at the others expense. It'll be a while before Sprint stops bleeding Nextel customers, so you may find some good deals while Sprint is hurting. I'd personally rather go to T-Mobile. |

| reply to roamer1 Cingular's data cards? I don't think so. I had one. I tried. It didn't work. My Centennial phone had a full signal, Cingular had none, and they have an agreement with one another. Of course, Cingular probably singled me out to not allow data roamin on my specific account. On another note, Sprint also roams on Verizon and US Cellular. -- Sprint Mobile Broadband PX-500 | DW6000 SatMex5 1130 | Windows XP MCE SP2 | Mobile AMD Athlon 64 4000+ | 1.5GB RAM | ATI Mobile Radeon X600 128MB | 120GB HDD |
