ask for a line test

With a 3008/512 connection, you will be able to d/l at ~300kB/sec. Most likely you're like me, and are at the limits of distance for a 3008-1500/512-384 kbps connection.
I had my connection reset to a 1984/512 (~200kB/sec) connection for stability, and eventually increased to 2496/512. (~250kB/sec). Have them (George) run a line test.
