Verizon...Ha

Why has Verizon not changed its public policy on the "unlimited" limited connection? Has this not gotten there attention or do they just not care? Probably the second, if they can still sell it to the naive, that will pay more for a "more" limited service, which they will. I will never give a company like this my money. I understand that a company must do what is best for itself but at what cost? They have decided to just lie to us (customers). Bad Form.

It's gotten ample press at this point, your answer is the second one...

it's pretty obvious sprint is king of wireless broadband...

sprint upgraded most areas around here to rev A and i get 2-3mbit/s down and almost 1mbit up with higher burst. you can actually game off it.. ping is about 40ms.

yet sprint advertises:

450-800 Kbps down with peak rates up to 3.1 Mbps
300-400 Kbps up with peak rates up to 1.8 Mbps

everyone else is still years behind..

Umm HSDPA 3.6 Mbps cards are already being sold - no network upgrades required.

If/when the upgrade to Revision A happens here (didn't Sprint say their entire network will be EVDO Revision A by this summer?) I'll probably consider getting one of their broadband cards and the specialized Linksys router...at the rate we're currently going, I doubt broadband is going to be deployed any time soon.

I also hope that I'll be able to get similar results to you, Sebastian. Even though $60 a month is a little pricey, I'd be willing to pay it if I could get decent speed and latency.

You gotta be kidding me. What octane tweak are you using? My rev. A with great signal gives me 400k up max.

I'd take that too...anything to at least be able to playing games at low latency, use VoIP, and engage in just about any broadband activity out there. Although, having an upload greater than 128K would be nice..then I could use Slingbox.
