C'mon MS will drop the price in the next 3 weeks OR early in January after Christmas honestly I think the PS3 hype is dead now, I think the wii has the upper hand in everything compared to the PS3. -- "Sure there have been injuries and deaths in boxing - but none of them serious."- Alan Minter, Boxer"I get to go to lots of overseas places, like Canada."- Britney Spears, Pop Singer |

| I'm hearing a lot of buzz on the street about the Wii. People are intrigued by the new controller, and the lower price.

| They said teh nintendo DS was a fad also with thier new style gaming (dual screens and touch screen) and it is still selling like gang busters. I seriously doubt the wii is a fad. and selling 1 million consoles in the first day and remaining sold it is no way a fad. The n-gage was a fad wii is not a fad. |

2 edits | You're right, Dual screens and touch screens are NOT a fad, they have been in Arcades for years. Selling 1 million coles is HYPE 9/10 people who purcahsed one have resold it. The Wii my friend is a FAD. Anyways back on topic here, this is a 360 thread. If you would like to continue this PM me. |

| ummm no, like 9/10 who bought a PS3 turned around and put it on Ebay. People who bought the Wii bought it to put it in their homes. The resale value on the Wii isn't high enough to warrant flipping it for much of markup.
You are obviously a nintendo hater, and you obviously have not played one yet.
Nintendo will sell every single one of the Wii's they produce this x-mas and I predict you will have to eat your words. |

| reply to JohnnyG101 I picked up a Wii for the kids. My 12 year old played it for 6 hours straight and then my Wife and me played it for a couple of hours(boxing wore us out). I was very surprised at how well it works, I thought it would be gimmicky but it is very accurate. It was a huge hit with all the company over on Thanksgiving. I think Nintendo is on to something here, not just a fad. I also have a modded xbox and a 360, I can see many people buying the 360 for their HD fix and the Wii for their innovative gaming fix, all for the price a PS3. When Super Smash Brothers is released for the Wii early next year, it will sell a hell of a lot of systems. |

| reply to jaymerkramer yeah if the 360 does drop an hundred dollors in price i will buy one no doubt. I was goign to buy one this christmas but I will wait to see if this shows up or not. I am not a fanboy for any particular system but I will not pay insane prices. I think 300 dollors is about the roof for me. And i have no problem buying a ps3 but not at 500/600 dollors pending on sku you buy. |

Dual screen and touch screens have been in arcades for years? I would like to know about these arcade games because in the over 20 years I have seen arcade games evolve I can maybe count such machines with one hand (not counting racing games that use three screens for panoramic effect... totally different than what the DS does). Hardly a standard. |
