I took my Wii to my In-laws on both Thanksgiving and Christmas. Yesterday my retired uncle called my wife and asked her to pick one up for him. That's the last guy I ever would have expected to buy a gaming system. The system does not have a super graphics susbsystem or 3 cores running at the highest available speeds but it does have FUN. The thing sells itself. -- "We linger in manhood to tell the dreams of our childhood, and they are half forgotten ere we have learned the language." - Thoreau |

| WHAT THE HELL LOL??? You had to have helped her for that... she would need quite a few strikes in that game for that to be possible lol . -- Life is a game of blackjack. You keep playing until you bust. |

| Rofl, Just hit a hole in 1 in golf so lets see anyone here do that!
I almost pissed myself when it bounced off the top of the pole and went directly down into the hole! -- Life is a game of blackjack. You keep playing until you bust. |

MuDvAyNe Premium join:2002-03-02 Brooklyn, NY | reply to justin I got a hole in 2 . On the 3rd map I took a chance at that little piece of grass on the outside of the map. I made it and the next shoot hit the pole and bounced in! |

My 10 year old is up in the 250's. She's really good at bowling. I can only manage an avg in the 190's. I either do the training games or play golf. I really love golf. It's pretty fun and I'm good at that one.
I've never hit a hole in one though. Not even a hole in two. |

| reply to justin My parents had to drive to Nebraska (980 m ile drive) from milwaukee here because of a ill family member (my aunt has cancer and is in the hospital). Parents needed somthing to keep busy while driving, so I put the wii in their truck and a 8 inch tv on the center counsole. My mom played monkey ball and wii sports while my dad drove.
When they got to the hospital, since my aunt cant leave the bed to do much excercise, they hooked the wii up to the tv in the hospital room, and she played tennis, bowling, and monkey ball. They tried legend of zelda, but it was wayyy to complicated for them. -- »www.WiiNetCommunity.com FREE RELIABLE WEB HOSTING! |

Sorry to hear about your aunt.
I wonder what bowling while driving is like... Or baseball while driving.. Do you throw the ball at 500mph? (Speed of car + speed of your arm)
Or does it not detect the cars movement due to it being fairly steady and moving in only one direction? -- ~There is no Normal or Abnormal... Just Diversity. Member of Team Helix - Join Us? |

| reply to justin I have been working out on Tennis and I am a pro, but I seem to bounce between 1050 and 1150. Some games I get owned by the computer, and others I own the computer. Last night I lost 2 in a row, and then came back to win 3 more. I play 3 full sets each game so I played a total of 15 sets. -- My Domain Nightfall's Hockey and Life Journal |

| reply to justin Not sure, I will have to ask them how it layed.
Monkey ball must have been hard, as you have to tip the controller to tip the "playing" field.
Which brings me to another idea, playing wii with a moped.
Tape the wiimote to the cycle, and hit the breaks to swing the sword and such (LoZ), might be neat to try it ^_^ -- »www.WiiNetCommunity.com FREE RELIABLE WEB HOSTING! |

| rofl! ^^ For sure.
Monkey ball would really be interesting... Especially because of how sensitive it with the tip controlling... Wonder what happens when you drive up a hill? Does the monkey ball just start rolling backwards? So many questions... Where's the Mythbusters when ya need em?
Playing with a moped would be way too off, but definitely original. If the Wiimote is taped to the cycle, how would one press buttons and such? ^_^ Plus good luck with the sensor bar and everything when trying to shoot arrows. *laughs* -- ~There is no Normal or Abnormal... | Yes, one of the most popular news stories on the Wii this week. Everyone is talking about it.
Now, you say what was the radio station thinking... when what my question would be is ... What was the WOMAN thinking ??
She acted just as stupidly as the radio station in my opinion. Both should've known the stupidness of this contest. If the radio station didn't get the participants to sign any forms at all, radio station is screwed. -- Life is a game of blackjack. You keep playing until you bust. |

justin Australian join:1999-05-28 Brooklyn, NY | I still think a competition where the aim is for participants to stop just short of killing themselves is an insane thing to run. More stupid than all-you-can-eat competitions where the biggest risk is throwing up. |

join:2003-06-23 Normal, IL | I agree. Not many people know you can DIE from drinking a lot of water. It's drilled into society that water is GOOD, so people in general wouldn't think that drinking a lot of it could KILL you. I blame the radio station in this case... |
