Did he behave himself when you opened the box? I told him to watch himself, you've got kids and it wouldn't be nice if he started spouting off. He promised he'd be good and watch his language (all I had to do was show him the duct tape and he got the message).

Bridwell arrived safe and sound in Alabama on Tuesday. I think we're ready for him. We have plans for several short trips over the next couple of weeks and so far he seems excited to go just about anywhere as long as it's not in a cardboard box.

All the pictures are uploaded, but I don't know how to link the gallery folder to this post. He's got his own folder, so just go to my gallery and the Bridwell folder.
I'll be sending him out today or tomorrow, a bit later than planned, but life got in the way of my schedule yesterday.
He's definitely a guest you won't easily forget....

Thanks XYF2  !! We're looking forward to his visit. Based on the comments of his previous hosts, I'll take some time while he's making the journey south to secure the valuables - especially those of the liquid kind.

Dear Bridwell, sweet Bridwell.... *cough*.... is headed off to Birmingham AL to visit thehyper1 for a while.
Since his new host has resident children, I've offered to duct tape Bridwell's mouth to keep him from spouting off some choice words as soon as the box is opened. 
In all honesty, he wasn't much trouble (as long as he had a bottle or two to keep him busy). However, my dogs have learned some new tricks lately, which seems like a coincidence.
Some of the pictures are already in my gallery, the rest will be posted sometime today.

It seems our little friend wasn't too thrilled the first few days of his stay here. He kept complaining about the lack of proper supplies to quench his thirst. Some of his adventures really didn't go over well with him, but this last week has more than made up for his dry period. As expected, he did cause a few problems, which will be obvious in the pictures as I post more of them.

He just arrived about 10 minutes ago, coughing and sputtering something about having been subjected to "enough smoke to make anyone quit smoking, but not a true blue gnome like me". He seems intent on filling me in on the abuse he suffered in B.C., but just wait until he finds out the cultural activities he's got to endure here before he gets to Oktoberfest to drown his sorrows.

That is a fantastic report of his visit.
I must admit, if he 'enjoyed' himself as you say, then it doesn't matter what I have planned, he'll probably be very happy.
After discussing it with some friends and family, we decided we'd start him off with some cultural activities, show him some of the more historic sights. By then it should be Oktoberfest time and he can drown his sorrows there.
His Gnomee relatives are all cleaned up and awaiting the arrival of their famous world travelling kin. A dozen Gnomes can make a heck of a ring in the tub and they don't pick up the wet towels either.

Looks like I'm going to be in for some fun. He can drink all he wants at Oktoberfest, I'm the DD (can't drink for health reasons) so he doesn't have to worry about a ride back home.
I'll keep him under control, or at least try.

Oh and be careful you don't mix up the Stiens, he gets upset if you drink from the one he accidently fell into. I understand he gets a little frisky after the drinking too so you might want to lock up the ladies before he starts to drink.
