[Speed] Anyone in Philly 19146 have 16/1 yet?

Anyone in Philly 19146 have the 16/1 yet? I have rebooted my modem every day for the past week but am still locked at 1.05mB/sec steady download (from Giganews).

I have a Scientific-Atlanta modem (the little one, with the green LED's). Will this support 16/1?

not an answer to your question but..

instead of rebooting every day, just go to your modem page and take a look at your log tab to see if comcast sent a new config file to the modem.

might save you some time. =)

Umm, I don't want to start a flame war or reveal the noobish qualities I have ... but how does one do that?

you can get to most by this address: »192.168.100.1/

depending on what type you have.. there will be a log option or tab at some point. when you get to that, check for something like this...

2006-11-06 12:36:31 7-Information Registration file - downloaded
2006-11-06 12:36:29 7-Information Trying to download Configuration file ...

at least that's what mine shows. youll also see a bunch of other events such as rebooting, and the such.

From what I know about that modem, yes it will. And as for the modem page, go here: »192.168.100.1/ and look at the logs section.

Thanks, guys. And thanks for not flaming.

Unfortunately, the web page simply tells me very basic things about the modem - send and receive levels, mac address. Everything else (logs, etc.) are disabled, so I don't know what speed my modem is set for.
