Temporary Offer or High Price?

You decide?
Loads of the triple play offers by cable companies are only for ONE YEAR then they start jacking the rates back up.. telcos still don't get it about the OVERALL BOTTOM LINE PRICE which is still above cableco's temporary offer triple play.. so we continue to wait for a good deal on a triple play.
No wonder people get the third service from another provider!
Neither telcos or cablecos want to play fair with the 3rd service..

Cablevision (OV, iO and OOL) has a interesting twist on this, yes, the triple play is $99. But at the end of the offer, will give you a $25 credit towards your bill for the three services. In addition, the post-offer discount plan offers discounted movie and play tickets each week, and access to a discounted electronics store. CV owns movie theaters in the subscriber area and used to own a large electronics discounter, now gone bankrupt, but someone must still love to be in that business over there.

In my case, I was never allowed the triple play as I was an existing customer. I already had Internet and Cable service. I got a $5 discount for internet service. When I added the $35/mo phone service, I got an additional $20 discount and the movie ticket stuff. So, my phone service is only a $15 cash flow out, now instead of a $70 cash flow out.

It's not a bad thing....though I admit that with the level of cable service I have the monthly bill is $130....
