Re: [Other] ADSL All-in-one Router with Gigabit Ethernet?

A Google search: Gigabit Ethernet broadband router yielded D-Link DLG-4100. However I'm not aware of any combined with a DSL modem.

Is space at a premium? My preference it to keep modem, router, and switch as separate devices for flexibility. I've had two DSL providers each requiring different modem and my LAN started out with a 10 Mbps Ethernet hub and has subsequently been upgraded.

I advise getting a Gig Ethernet switch with as many ports as needed and connect it to a garden variety broadband router.

I found a NETGEAR Gigabit Router as well, but it did not come with a modem.

It saves space & it is more flexible actually, most of the ADSL all-in-one routers I bought supported almost every protocol, I can connect & change setting on different ISP's. International version have more support on them. I bought a modem from the US & when I traveled back home I got stuck with it.

I really need the Gigabit Router for my Gigabit shared storage, it is kind of slow to connect with 100mbps & only get 7-8MB/s transferring a 7 gb file!

For your purposes it might be easiest to use your ISPs modem and have a seperate Gigabit router plugged into it. I'm not sure if there are any router/modem combos that support Gigabit ethernet right now.
