It was only a matter of time, but the legal campaign against illegal music distributor allofmp3 is getting underway around the world. Denmark won't be the last country where allofmp3 will be drug into court. Eventually Russia will comply and shut them down.

The issue is that the megacorps don't LIKE what allofmp3 is doing. There's plenty of other ways to get money, the loss of Visa/MC isn't really that big of an issue. If the public WANTS IT, the public will GET IT. Too bad for the megacorps that the public DOESN'T WANT to pay for DRM encumbered, overpriced music. Remember, the megacorps need to compete with FREE, so they better come up with a better business plan soon, or they will ALL be bankrupt. Cause, much like me, the VAST MAJORITY of people don't really care if the megacorp makes money or not.

You can pay via paypal for a xrost card
then use your xrost to pay allofmp3
so basically you can still pay your tunes with amex, visa mc or any major credit card. And I haven't read that Paypal is planning to cut xrost anytime soon.

How about you don't resort to the pathetic "commie" labelling everytime someone disagrees with you?
Are you so narrow minded that you can't accept that non-evil people can think different from you? Does everyone that disagrees with you have to be a commie (or any kind of evil sounding label that right wingers like to stick to others?)
Someone has already mentionned that apparently, under Russian law, allofmp3 IS legal, since they pay their royalties to ROMS. That is the core of the argument. Do they have a local and international legal leg to stand on or not.
Furthermore, if you ever fly to Russia, you'll see that you can buy a CD in the stores for the equivalent of $2 or $3, and you are allowed to bring them back in the US (yes it's legal.) So is it that surprising that you can buy the same CD online for the same price?
So how about you discuss facts? Or do you have an agenda to push no matter if you have anything relevant to say or not?
Seriously dude, it's getting tiring to see you troll the forums every single day. Specially since it seems that you at least have enough brain to type correctly worded posts(as opposed to our Taylor friend)
So how about you use the rest of that brain to post constructive stuff.

allofmp3.com has the perfect format IMHO. Multiple formats at a reasonable price. Not selling substandard formats at $1 a shot like the music companies want you to buy. As long as people buy it, the music companies will continue on selling it that way. |
