| Internet Connection is Off - And - On Frequently Now
On And Off Connection Problems
I am using Cincinnati Bell Zoomtown DSL internet connection with D-Link wireless modem.
My internet connection is constantly going off and on at various times of the day for the last 2 weeks. It will start and stop about 5 times within a 20 minute period.
The connection is dropping on the wired connection from my router as well.
They are saying that they may charge me for fixing this so I am trying to determine as much as possible where the fault may lie. I am assuming that its a connection problem between my home and the CLEC as I am in a rural area at the outer bounds of their service area.
Anybody have ideas or suggestions I should try?
I guess I could plug their modem directly into the jack and take the router "variable" out of the scenario but I doubt its a router problem.

Depends on where the problem lies. Go one-to-one and monitor the connection there. |
