| 16/1 speeds in philadelphia suburbs
not sure whether or not i should have posted this in the "rumor" thread, but im positive we do have it here.
the speed increase, so far as i know, is in haverford township, upper darby township, and parts of drexel hill.
correct me if im wrong, but if im getting 20 down on a speed test, i find it hard to believe that it's just 8 meg service with speed burst. it's still not noted that my area has it on the comcast.com/16 site.
as a side note.. is it normal for a wireless router to bump that speed test down from 20 down to about 6? i get 20 only when i run a cat5 cable straight to my notebook. thinking about getting one of the new wireless N routers from linksys. |

| If you have 16/1, your upload speeds will be the tell-tale. Your upload speeds will be above 786.
As for routers limiting speed: If you have a router that is "B", you'll be limited to 5500. If you use "G", you would have no problem with 16000.
If you are "G" and are only seeing 6000, try an alternate channel. ( 1, 6 or 11 ) -- Write me up a 125.......I Can't Drive 55 »redrocker.com/ »cabowabo.com/ |

| reply to grazed It belongs in the rumor thread unless you can give us a link to an announcement it is being rolled out to your area officially.
