| 6+ months for rollout to begin?
As a long time Tmo' customer (6+ years, back when they were voicestream), I am VERY happy to hear that they are finally getting on the 3G bandwagon. I am a bit concerned that it will be almost 2 years for widespread coverage however. In all likely hood Sprint will have started their 4G network deployment in a few markets by then. I also hope that Tmo' goes straight to HSDPA because in 2 years UMTS wont be worth sh*t and they will be WAY behind. Cingular has already stopped deplying the "old" AT&T UMTS (and swtiched to HSPDA) in all their new markets. -- я люблю медведей! |

It's the classic US PR-driven corporate BS: buzzwords? Checked. Actual speed? Doesn't matter. |

Many European countries are still using UMTS (the 384k video phone variety), not HSDPA. In fact, Cingular currently has the largest HSDPA deployment in the world. -- я люблю медведей! |
