[Modding] Can you guys give me OC a look??????

My specs are:
corsair vs512mb333
Rosewell 520w Power supply
AMD 64 3500+Venice 2.2 Ghz (OC'ed to 2.5)
MSI K8N SLI-F Socket 939 NVIDIA nForce4 SLI ATX AMD Mobo.

Ok so I've got Value Ram(I know, not great for OCin).

Could you experts tell me if I've got a good OC or if I should change anything on my RAM speeds? I currently have the ram at 2.70v, also have to keep it at 2T because 1T becomes unstable, I haven't run Prime95 but will be doing so in a about an hour.

Id add volts to the core, change your ram divider to slow it down, then maybe you can tightn your timings. Whats your htt multiplier at? Im not an expert but this is basic 939 oc'ing.

Good solid guide here.

Thanks for posting. I have my HTT at x4.

Also, I did run Prime95 with no errors for about 13 hours. I'd really like to avoid hiking up the volts if that it's possible and when you say change the divider by how much?

Hi......first off......What you called HTT in your last post is actually HT Frequency. 4X is fine until you hit 250 HTT.

Is THIS your board?

If so then what you are looking for, is in the 2nd Bios illustration called "Memclock index value", which is shown to be 166mhz. This setting slows your memory down so that you can get maximum mhz from your HTT. Your's is currently set at 200mhz running the same 231 HTT as your CPU in the links you provided. What you want to do is set it lower than 200mhz and then try to increase the HTT setting a little teeny tiny bit at a time.

That review in the link states that they were only able to get that board running up to 232 HTT. That may have been with a different BIOS than what you presently have, I don't know.

Your CPU voltage is very low so increasing it shouldn't be a problem if necessary.

Thank you for responding. Ok so I cleared the settings that I had and set my ram to 166mhz, I also also put up the voltages in my CPU up by +3.3 persent(MSI already had a pre configured voltage hike setting so I went with 3.3%) also the link that you showed is the same exact one as my mobo.

So here is what has been done......

-I still have my HT to 4x (like you said I won't need to drop to x3, until I hit 250.)

-Ram was lowered to 166Mhz and after some FSB raising it did go up to 181.5 which is normal.

-Raised my CPU's voltage by 3.3%

-My HTT is now at 231Mhz.

Ok so I'm going to be running Prime95, so is there any thing that needs to be changed?

Again thank you guys for taking a look.

I wasn't suggesting changing anything "unless" you were going to try and bump up the HTT to something other than 231.

Did these moves allow you to change from 2T to 1T?

The voltage increase is only necessary if it allows more overclock or adds to stability.

@158.123.x.x

Thanks boogie! so here is my lasy queston

I'm gonna keep it at 231 so what is the best ram configuration for that? I have it at 181mhz, should I hike up the mhz on the ram to let's say 230mhz for example?
