Not happy

There is nothing I like less than coming home to a whole crap load of hey mods.. over and over again. It seems lately that there is an attitude in here that it's okay to crap on someone's thread because that person isn't "liked" or whatever the case may be. And then I have to lock threads.. over and over again. The part that is the most disturbing is that the original poster of these threads that go to hell in a hand basket usually isn't the one breaking the rules of the site, it is the little posse of formerly good users that are getting themselves into trouble. The fact that someone may fit into another's definition of annoying or irritating isn't a free ticket to crap all over their threads. This isn't in respect to one particular user's threads there are a few. Unfortunately those that insist on pushing these threads into getting locked tend to be the same people. I don't want to watch or ban people that I know should know better but it looks like I'm going to have to start. There is an ignore function and there is something called self control. It would be really cool if one of these two things could be exercised. It would make for a better happier forum and a much less bitchy mod. The street runs both ways, it's not cool to post threads that may fall within the site rules but are intended to get the posse going. Please people, can we act a little more mature? If all of this crap doesn't stop, there are going to be some very unhappy users that find themselves warned and watched etc for no good reason other than getting amusement from ruining other people's threads. I should also note that this applies to user to user issues not just group vs user problems. I'm tired of it. The majority of the users of the forum are tired of it. It has to stop. Consider this fair warning that all of these behaviours are going to result in an escalating scale of discipline which eventually will result in being banned from the forum altogether. I don't want to do this anymore than anyone else wants it done to them but it's come to that. It's not funny. It's immature. It's disruptive. It puts me into a very bad mood.

Burn!

I've always thought the "hey mods" button was for anaemic little girls, I didn't realize anyone could use it until reading your post

Thanks for doing such a thankless job as well as you do.

I'm done sucking up to the mod now

Don't make me make an example out of you

I can't say paragraphs were the first thing that came to mind while typing out my frustrations.

The ignore function is great, I wish real life had something like that. Since I started using it these forums are so nice and tranquil

It just turns out to be easier to poke fun at the stupid posts...Should these posts be hey modded if they are nonsensical non-Canadian garbage and was posted simply to be a pain in the ass to the forum? There are only 2 people on this forum that I can think of that posts nonsensical garbage to get folks going (I suspect these 2 particular posters enjoy it).

Poster #1. usually goes on and on about anti-corporate and/or pro-apple nonsense/propaganda.

Poster #2. usually braggs about all the hot chicks falling over him, where sometimes (depending on the post) he's married, 15 years old, 25 years old, single, poor, rich, etc...the list goes on. Essentially, total fiction.

Both of these posters have YET to produce an insightful thread, so I don't think it's really just about the forum disliking these particular posters.

Ironically, when there's one or 2 bad apples, if they're not separated from the rest of the apples, the other apples will get rotten too...pun intended

Unfortunately as I've said irritating posts aren't against the site rules. It's not that I don't understand what's going on, it's that I can't make up the rules and moderate however I please. The point that I'm trying to make is don't get yourself warned or banned simply because you think someone else and their threads are idiotic. Ignore them, move on. Don't give the attention that is being craved. I can't make up the rules so they fit a particular situation.
