| Re: This has One of our crew guys at my power company found a guy dead at one of our substations. He'd been trying to steal copper ground cabling from some of the equipment in the substation.
Based on the amount he'd already cut out of the equipment before he got smoked, they estimated he forfeited his life for roughly $250 worth of copper cable. 
We've had roughly 10 substations vandalized in a similar fashion this year alone all because of copper.
