Sure, like someone didn't already do that. Here is the most likely scenario for this apology: It sounds like he was pissed off by high utility rates and sued because he didn't want more bonds having to be covered by ratepayers. Someone put the pressure on him and probably threatened him, so he backed down.

I love how conspiracy theorists all think THEIR idea is the ONLY sane one, even though there are dozens of other humdrums explanations to be had that make a lot more sense.
They're right -- the about-face signifies a realization of some sort. If you're being paid off, you're not going to suddenly just change your opinion and lose that payday. |
