said by Thinkdiff :said by brywalker5 :Naah, nothing. It spits out pages and pages but I can't find what it is provisioned to. It's in there.. look for the entries that say "Gauge32" might need the -vvv option. I'm not familiar with docsdiag, but if you are looking for a particular string in reams of output use:
C:> programname -vvv | find "Gauge32"
Where programname is whatever you need to type to run docsdiag. This will display just the lines of output that contain the text Gauge32.

| reply to lowdownshame If you read the new cablevision website, the residential version of Boost is advertised at 2meg upload, but the Business version of Boost is advertised at 5meg upload.
So are all Boost users really getting a "free boost" - or are the increased upload speeds only for the Business users? |

| reply to BLUNTED 1 said by BLUNTED 1 :anything i try to upload to is normal speed at 1.8 to 1.9 mb no matter what i upload to and docsdiag shows i have 5 mb upload so it cant do anymore that 2 mb. I have no problem reaching 3mbit up (real world). OOL Speed test pegs me at about 4.7mbit up.

Do you know what abuse is?

| reply to La Luna I am in Suffern NY and I'm serviced by the Mahwah NJ System. I did the needed Reboot of my Modem and DOCSDIAG now reports that my Modem is provisioned for 5Mbs Up. Running the OOL Speed Check confirms this showing a 4+Mbs uplink speed (I used to get 2+Mbs (2.0xx which I attribute to round-off/measurement error). I'll wait a few days before that get the kinks out at which time I'd expect to be near 5Mbs. |

Why do people insist on looking a gift horse in the mouth? Be glad they didn't decide that 10/1 was good enough and roll everyone back. -- ~~Well, I think you're crazy, I think you're crazy, I think you're crazy, just like me...~~

The thread is based on an internal memo posted by an employee. If they publicly proclaim we have upgraded users to 30/5, and the upload speeds are still maxing around 2.5mbps then you will be completely correct. -- Warning, If you post nonsense and use misinformation and are here to argue based on those methods, you will be put on ignore. |

Why do they sell 15/2 package if what they want is a email/websurfer. I think they shud start selling 1mbit/256kbit and so on packages. Because a plan like that is guaranteed to lose them money, thats why. Their market penetration is so high that if they were to offer something like that, they would lose more money from the current customers switching to it than they would gain from new customers signing up. -- " Any society that would give up a little liberty to gain a little security will deserve neither and lose both." - Benjamin Franklin |
