| Audio problem with Samsung & National Georaphic
I am using cable card with my Samsung (HLR5067) TV. National Geographic channel 822 (only the hi def channel) has no audio. Verizon tech changed the cable card but problem remains and Verizon claims its Samsung's problem and Samsung maintains that its Verizon problem. So, I am left in the middle to figure out the solution myself. anybody with any ideas? Thanks. |

| Found this on AVS forums (post from 2/28/06):
"New firmware available. I have an HL-R5067W. After several times of Samsung blaming the cable card and saying there was no TV firmware update, they are now telling me there is a firmware updated just coming out now. I have signed up for scheduling the update. I have an SA cablecard and they indicated it must have firmware version 149 or later. The CC diag screen indicates 2.3.149 The problem I was having was on a single HD channel. I had good audio and blank video. All other HD channels were fine. They indicated that the firmware was for many types of cablecard problems, and I think other things as well."
I know it's not your exact problem but worth a try.
Check that and see if you can upgrade the firmware. -- Ricardo
