And according to the sketchy details that have been released, you will be paying the flat rate fee for each of those hotspot locations, which will, knowing t-mobile's penchant for overcharging for WiFi, will end up costing you far more than a landline. -- Toolmaster of La Grange. |

| That's not quite correct. The way it works is, you add the UMA calling feature to your regular cell plan. ...and of course, to use that feature, you need to be in the range of a hotspot...initially T-Mobile is requiring that you get your equipment from them, but eventually you will be able to use any hotspot. Either way, there is no fee per location....it's just one monthly fee...if you decide to have equipment in more than one location, you'll need to pay t-mobile for each UMA router you buy. |

| "And users will be able to call anyone over the Wi-Fi home network for a flat fee."
The implication is that they are going to require you to have their equipment at home if you want to use this at home, and charge a monthly fee for the service in addition to the already-too-high cellular service. There is no benefit to them to do it for "free". -- Toolmaster of La Grange. |
