Split from this topic ---> »[IL] Official IL Latency issues at night.
I have been having the same issue with my 10/1 as well in Davenport. I have had about 6 techs out to my home and even dealt with Olga the local supervisor. Every single night about 2030 hrs it drops down to as low as 700 kbs on some nights but mostly 1.5-2 mb average and then it stays low until about 1130 pm at which time it comes back up to normal levels where I will be getting 9.2-9.4 megs down. The upstream stays good the entire time I might add.
I have had this issue nightly for the past 5 weeks approxinmaltely since I had it installed and as I am a hard core online gamer and this pops up during my prime usage times it is very frustrating.
I finally tonight by coincidence received an e-mail from tier -1 that it is a problem in the area and not just with me and that they are working to resolve the issue. This is after hearing from tier-2 on more than one occasion that they cannot see any issues in my area.
Very very frustrating to say the least. I just wish they would get it working properly as it does work fantastic the entire day other than those prime times and on days I have off where I can spend more time online I am very happy with it - until it gets to be about 8:30 pm that is
Anyways, just blowing off some steam and letting some of the others know that they are not alone with this issue. |

in other words they more than likely have no clue what the problem is.
this is a typical and scripted responce from tier 1 |

| Note to the moderator: Just an fyi, I am serviced out of Moline Illinois as my city borders right onto Illinois and when a tech is dispatched it is from Moline Illinois, so I do believe my issue to be related to the others from that other thread. Just an fyi in case others from my area bump into this forum in the future. |

@12.206.x.x | reply to mertz67 They have OC-12's with adding Oc-48's is like adding 4 OC-12's. (OC48 - 2.5 gigabits per seconds -- OC12 - 622 megabits per second) |

@12.206.x.x | reply to mertz67 May or may not be a tech? I asked for cross street not home address. I wanted to look in CoreOs and see if it was his modem or a blade issue.
I have been working the QuadCity systems from the first 2 T-1's we put in for @Home. |

I have been working the QuadCity systems from the first 2 T-1's we put in for @Home. I didn't mean anything by it. Most of the techs that help here have either been verified by the site, or verified by techs that have been verified by the site. You have not been verified, so I just gave a generic warning to be cautious. -- Join Team Helix! Help Us Find A Cure! Get the FAQs! |

@12.206.x.x | reply to mertz67 The OC-48 went on line last Friday. This should wouldn't help much because we have had bandwidth. If I knew the street / mac. I could help more. |
