| Clearwire is not WiMax
They have plans to deploy it to replace the leased spectrum they are using today, but currently are not a WiMax operator.
(at least not in production to anyone's knowledge)
Clearwire depends heavily on Intel on potential WiMax who is also in bed with Sprint.
If anything Sprint should buy Clearwire, have them run and deploy the WiMax, while the cell group continues to update the EVDO infrastructure.
Clearwire and WiMax as of today are purely a press release, not much more. |
