1 edit | [ViaTalk] unlocked pap2 setup help needed
I finally got the pap2 set up to dial out and that seems to be ok now, but inbound gets nothing. Prior to setting up the pap2 I called my new VT temp number and I got voicemail but after getting the pap2 settings changed from voxee to VT and making a couple of outbound calls now when I call the VT number from any phone I get recordings saying the number is not in service or the call can not be completed as dialed. I included a screen shot of my pap2 settings for VT if anyone wants to look and see what I might have wrong, or that needs changed. I can post the other tabs as well if needed. I do know how to save all the tabs as one html file but I don't know how to keep it from showing the personal info if I did it that way. Thanks for the help. -- When the government fears the people, that is LIBERTY. When people fear the government, that is TYRANNY. Unknown |

| yes, they told me to get another router, that the wrt54gs was problematic or update the firmware and see if that helps. I had already updated the firmware before I called. But on a happy note without changing anything I started getting calls. I would still like input as to my settings if they are all correct for the best quality calls. -- When the government fears the people, that is LIBERTY. 1 edit | reply to buckeyered You might want to change the registry expires setting to something like 600.
You need a new dial plan. You can not dial 911 with what you have.
The viatalk default plan is
(*xx|*xxxxxxxxx|*xxxxxxxxxxxxx|*xxx|xxx|xxxx|[3469]11|0|00|[2-9]xxxxxx|1xxx[2-9]xxxxxxS0|xxxxxxxxxxxx.|011xxxxxxxxxx) You can find better ones for faster 10 digit dialing if you prefer.
Edit: DTMF TX Method needs to be set to inband. |

| I forgot to change the dialplan before I saved the settings last time, thanks I also change reg expires to 600. I did notice that "Use OB Proxy In Dialog:" was set to yes but use outbound proxy was set to no so shouldnt "Use OB Proxy In Dialog:" be set to no as well? -- When the government fears the people, that is LIBERTY. The Use OB Proxy In Dialog: should be set to NO. Also, you may want to check the SIP page to enable the STUN server options as well as those first four VIA options if you PAP2 is connected behind a non-symmetrical NAT/Firewall router, IIRC. -- Mazi (UK Non-Geo Phone: +44-703-194-2574) |
