All bet I know; how many people with broadband connections also have a dialup modem with a small number of hours allocated to a dialup account each month. They never use it but it is there. I was asked a one point by Qwest if I wanted to set up such a dialup account, for back up, and the lady seemed surprised when I told her I wasn't interested that I had not dialup modem installed in my computer for years. -- The older I get the more I prefer the company of my dogs over that of man kind. |

There's a deal like that here. Pretty sure SBC does it, but I know for sure a smaller outfit near here does this for their customers. Even though it's there, nobody really uses it, let alone knows that it's there. A friend of mine has the option of using the dialup from this company, never has, but they set it up as part of the included deal.
Good luck Qwest. I bet tons of people would pay for turbo fiber connections. |
