Re: AWESOME!

With either question your stupidity and point is clear.

You in a round about way are trying to say the guy is at fault because he did not "secure" his airwaves. Just because it is there you are not "in the right" to assume it is there for your use.

I and many more, will argue we are not obligated to "lock" our router. It is your responsibility to make sure you can use the things that you do not personally own. If you don't know if you can, then it is your obligation to seek that permission. If you can't seek that permission because you don't know who to ask then you are to continue to assume you are not invited to use it.

Would you like some cheese with that whine?

Just asking a question, not trying to make an analogy. Here's another question:

If my neighbor's kid tosses a ball around, and it winds up in my yard, and he leaves it there instead of retrieving it, should I throw it back into his yard or should I just throw it into the trash?

(This, too, is a rhetorical question.)

Oh god, not the open door analogy again! Next comes the unlocked car analogy!

Is it really "stealing" if you open your door (don't secure your signal), invite people in (you're the one broadcasting the signal), and they don't actually take anything belonging to you that you didn't invite them to take (like, you know, files or something on your network)? Eh, whatever. Have your fun while you can.

very funny , but if he doesn't want leechers why doesn't he just secure his system.
What fun is that!

You have a good point
