OT-We still need an 80Gig Nano Vidipod to store all the movies they want you to buy and access quickly. Which reminds me, just how many people really watch movies more than once? (excluding babysitting excuses and the trekkie)  |

9.99 to OWN is what he's talking about. Renting would obviously be cheaper cause who would pay 10 bucks to rent a downloaded movie. I'd say the success will be based on the quality of the movies. If they're the iPod resolution of 320x240 then I can't see a lot of people buying them. TV shows can get away with this quality because they're usually not "action" like a lot of movies are. You want a large screen for a movie but not necessarily a TV show. |

(BTW it'd be more than funny if somebody would proudly claim Apple did something first on OS X only.  )
Besides that a single-digit market force like OS X doesn't really convince anybody to develop something specific for them - because the fact of the matter is Apple decided not to develop anything that would play WMV, only MS had put out some shitty-buggy beta for a while...
Talk about showing sheer ignorance... 
PS: WMV and WMVHD or VC-1 is far superior to anything Apple was able to come up - same or better quality with lower hw requirements, you know... |
