On the date 07/16/01 in your review you mentioned the following: "I decided to use a POTS/DSL splitter rather then microfilters. Performance is better and it eliminates the effects of inside wiring."
On the date 08/06/03 in your review you stated this: "...Lesson learned: always check inside wiring first. This would have saved [me from] being on dialup for several days and a service call from Verizon."
If, as you stated in 2001, that you used a "home run" is true how can inside wiring cause problems for you in 2003, unless you removed the "home run?"

The splitter does not totally isolate phone from DSL. Corrosion unbalanced phone line. This was not severe enough to interfere with voice but shut down DSL.
