wpnt834 cant work with intel pro 3945 wireless card !

Has anybody gotten the netgear wpnt834 router to work with the intel pro wireless 3945 adapter ? All it does is disconnect every 10 seconds..is this a intel problem or a netgear problem ? I have netgear firmware 1.0.41 installed...

Dunno if it's Netgear related or not.. but my Inspiron has a 3945abg connection, and I had similar issues when I first got it. I grabbed the latest package for it from Dell's website, and it seems to have fixed the issues... so you might wanna give that a shot first.

Make sure you're using the latest intel wireless driver.

"The intel Centrino 3945abg client sends out QoS null frames that will cause a reboot.
Workaround: Disable the 11e QoS in intel Centrino 3945abg Configuration > Advanced Properties."

There really is no clear option on how to disable the 11e qos on the 3945.What confuses me is that this is under known isues under firmware 1.041 so does that mean that this firmware caused this issue or that it is one of their fixes ? By the way i do have the latest intel driver and my laptop is also an inspiron.

I think it is still an open issue, so it is not fixed yet. We could debate for some time the advisability of releasing a product that is not compatible with the majority of new laptops, but that is another matter.

I don't have a 3945 myself, but for my Netgear WPNT511 this can be accomplished by going to the Device Manager/Network adapters and right-clicking on the name of the card, then Properties, and the Advanced tab. There is an option for "802.11e Support", which can be disabled. Let us know how the WPNT834 works for you.

That option really doesnt work as i have tried it.. Im just going to wait for netgear to come out with a new firmware.
