How to install VMWare on PCLinuxOS

Click for full size
Vmware has currently made it's player and server (beta) apps free.

Please provide the full directions to install it. How to be sure that my system meets the requirements. Such as which Kernel, glib, libXpm.so, inetd, SCSI Generic (sg.o) drivers, Perl, and last but not least X server is installed.

Thanks for time and understanding.

Why don't you try it and post instructions? It's not hard; took about 15 minutes when I did it under Fedora Core 3.

Something that specific should be posted in PCLinuxOS forums, not here.

Read the installation instruction already provided by VMware. The best way to learn is to read and break/fix things. Don't ask other people to do your homework for you.

What!?

1. Download it.
2. Read the readme and do what it says.
3. The end.

Please PM me for an address to send the consulting cheque to, and I'll prepare a fully documented action list to get vmware installed on your host systems. For an additional fee I can also vet your hardware to assure it's compatibility.

If this proposal is not amenable, RTFM.

I may not agree with what you say, but I'll defend your right to encrypt it.
