| who could buy qwest
This would go against Verizon's plans. They don't want rural areas. Plus they're already looking into paying around $48-50 billion for the remaining 45% of VZ Wireless.
Qwest, at $14.6 billion marketcap, will be a tough buy for another fiber carrier.
The buyer won't be at&t, could be a cable company, or even Google. |

I don't care who it is as long as they lay fibre to my house and light me up! -- You can never be too rich, too thin or have too much Bandwidth |

fiberguy My views are my own. Premium join:2005-05-20 | reply to pepperxn It's not the rural area that Verizon would care about.. what makes Qwest attractive to any of the others is the back bone and the crossing in the Washington state area... other than that.. Qwest is crap. |
