| syslog FreeBSD OpenBSD hello all, I'm trying to configure my freebsd server as a syslog server. I have an openbsd firewall running without a lot of diskspace, so I want to log all pflog and other entries to my syslog server, problem is I want to have the logs for the servers in their own directory, I'm having some trouble. Does anyone know of any good syslog tutorials, I've been searching and can't seem to find any. | |

The problem is that the manpage is not "easy reading", so I'll give you an example from one of my hosts.
At the top of syslog.conf (BEFORE all of the other default directives! It's important that this is done BEFORE -- again, see the manpage for why):
+gw.home.lan
*.* /var/log/gw.home.lan
-gw.home.lan
