I think the reason that broadband is so cheap in Japan, Korea, etc. is that there are a lot of people crammed in a relatively small location.
On the other hand, the reason broadband in the US isn't cheaper is the greedy telecoms... |

your speculation is not proven...
its technology in those places are more advanced then here
