And yes it will be a ripoff -- I can just see them charging $199 for an exchange -- and you owned the old one and don't own the new one...

clubs:		 Well if you buy the box retail then you own it. $200 Exchange is no where near the $1200 price tag the units will have when they come out. BTW if you want to own comcast box its near $1000 as well.

No it's not, Comcast doesn't offer an option to buy the box. It's rental only.

yep, I for peeps like me who only have the SD Tivo it will be 499 plus intsall of the 5 LNB dish (the new sexy MPEG 4 dish is not rumored until the fall) for even more money!!
