no thanks, I do not want high definition video of my grandmother, let alone anywhere near microsoft...

nice idea to have an online storage box, but it would be a privacy nightmare.

Will Use it

I will do it for media files pictures and stuff like that.. nothing sensitive, like tax records...the last take the least of space and I can have it on a usb drive and so on... however... I have over 300 gigs of pictures and family video that I would like to backup someplace else than home.. and have access to it relatively easy.

better off with tax records and personal Ident stuff on the USB drive, it can be locked up in a safe or lockbox. removiable media requires a B&E to "hack".

But do you have the upstream to put it there. It might take you months because the ISP's insist we don't need upstream bandwidth.

I have 2mbps upload... I recently uploaded arround 400mb in kodakgallery in under an hour...

I guess I have better deal than many there....

If you used something like the free TrueCrypt, they would not be able to see the files you were storing on the drive.
