| reply to garyprud Any model cable modem works fine with Insight.
Insight has generally provided POS RCA modems to those that "rent" (39.95/one time, or 3.95/month).
I've got a Motorola Surfbroad that I replaced with the ever-so-awful RCA that Insight had supplied almost a year ago. That thing kept dropping out on me. Found out the coax connector was lose on the inside, and well, I just busted that thing up Office Space style.
psst, what the hell brings you to louisville? haha -- orly |

| reply to NoOne This forum has a few examples of customers who are reporting increased speeds. Now if this is going to stay this way. Or if this is just some test etc. Is a totally different matter. You would be correct in thinking that no official announcement has been made.
At one time an announcement was made that Insight was going to only use one brand of modem ( Arris I think it was ). But I think in most areas if you rent one from them you could end up with any brand. If you have your own modem most well known models will work just fine with Insight.

That list is not all inclusive. But is a good place to look when wanting to know what is "supported".
