 [Cingular] HSPDA deployment plans?

I've tried searching both the forum, Google, and Cingular's own site for it and, perhaps I'm not searching for the right terms, but I can't find any information on where Cingular is planning on deploying HSPDA in the near future. If somebody could direct me to a resource, I'd appreciate it, as I have a trial of Sprint's EV-DO soon and I would like to compare it to Cingular's HSPDA service. Thanks in advance.

They are deploying it and it is available in several markets already. Howardforums should have a lot in the Cingular forum you might want to do a search over there, not sure how easy it will be to find what you want though.

Thanks for the tip, I'll give that a try. There is a new press release on Cingular's site about them ungrading the Florida network, in it they talk about their new high speed offering but they never specifically say if and where they'll be installing it in Florida. The article implies that it will statewide, but I know enough to know that's not going to happen initially.

just an observation but you might be having trouble finding information because it is HSDPA not HSPDA. is stands for High Speed Downlink Packet Access.

it does not look like you will be able to compare the two either as it looks like cingular has not deployed any HSDPA service in florida yet. here is the coverage checker for HSDPA... »www.cingular.com/business/3G_cov_maps_pop but the maps are very optimistic.

you might also find some good information related to what you are looking for here... »www.evdoforums.com/viewtopic.php?t=1235

hope it helps,
