Speeds

6MB/s max with IPTV, but they are expected to diliver upto 25MB/s for users without the IPTV service, but wont believe it till i see it.

Now that AT&T bought out SBC I am very interested in the developments of the project moving forward. But being around these parts (DSLunderground) they have been promising stuff for years.

So, I will sit patiently with the wait and see attitude.

SBC bought out AT&T, and took the AT&T name, and changed the logo. Think of it as SBC with the AT&T name and logo.

deployment has a lot to do with a state's franchise agreements, for instance, Texas eliminated the need for T to get agreements from each city, now only has to set agreements at the state level. 2 things happened as a result, T has greatly increased their IP deployment and Charter CATV has announced lower prices

Wow, makes me want to get fiber only and keep Directv for my TVs... Maybe somebody can explain me why I should be excited about IP TV. It seems to me that we're trying to solve a technical problem that does not exist. That 19 MBps is not enough to supply 4 video feeds if 2 or 3 of them will be HD, so what's the point?
