[HELP] 2501 and 1900 with Fiber

I don't know if this could work anyway, but I am trying it.

I have a 2501 Cisco Router and a WSC1900C Catalyst Switch.

This switch has a fiber optic port for the backbone connection. It also has a normal twisted pair backbone port, which I already tested.

I have a Fiber transceiver that came with my router that outputs at fiber 10. I just got a cable to mess with them today and I cant seem to get it to work.

I have the current setup with the 2501 with the fiber transceiver to the port A on the switch. The problem is there is no communication.

Anyone have any ideas, or will this not work?

The fiber ports on the 1900 are 100 meg full duplex only , thats why it won't work with your 2500 router at 10 meg .

I had a feeling that was the case. I been working on different things on both the router and the switch and found were I could have the switch either full duplex or half. But, this was still at 100 meg, and no option for less than that.
