[Help Me] DI-604: Virtual server and port ranges

Hi Guys

For creating a passive FTP server - I need to create a port range for the data transfers, but as far as I can see - I can only type in 1 port per virtual host.

Is there a trick for letting a range of ports point to a specific local IP address, so I can avoid to create a bunch of virtual hosts?

Avoid the virtual server part of it and set it up as a firewall rule. You're able to set a port range for the destination ip.

Edit: What Spidey said too Forgot about that

Re: [Help Me] DI-604: Virtual server and port rang

Hi,

on Router with Rev. B, D, F you can type in a Port Range at Virtual Server like:
1050-1055

Greetings

Ummmmm ... you sure about that, Spidey?

I think you can only do ranges from the Advanced / Firewall page. I have hacked F/W on my DI-624 right now, so I can't test to be sure.

Coulda sworn I've done what Spidey said before, but currently it does not allow me to do that with my 624. I thought the virtual server pages were pretty much exactly the same with the 604 I used to use and my 624 now, but perhaps I'm mistaken. I guess my original thought was the more definite way of getting it done with any revision/firmware.

Thanks Spidey!

The DI-604 Rev C and Rev E have a different screen, which aligns with the DI-624 and 524 as well (at least many versions if not all):

Rev E: »support.dlink.com/emulators/di60···ual.html
