I had a problem for weeks with the wireless operation: it would drop out 2 to 6 times a day, sometimes more. I finally discovered that by going to '»ralinktech.com/supp-1.htm', I could download updated drivers for the RT2500 chipset inside the wireless card , F5D7000, v 3.0.3.0 dated 4/21/05, instead of the v 2.2.7.0 dated 7/29/2004 that came with the instalation CD. It's been 2 days now, and the connection hasn't dropped once. Hope this helps someone else. Also, Belkin support told me that firmware version 6.00.10 is the latest for North America, that version 6.00.03 is for the UK, and if I downloaded and installed 6.00.03, it would destroy my router! I don't believe that, although I'm not going to try, since it's working now. |
