New Forum: "Security Cleanup"...

Effective immediately, there is a new forum, »Security Cleanup, where all Hijack This logs and requests for assistance in cleaning up infected systems should be posted. The forum is specifically purposed to handle requests for help with cleanup and disinfection, and should help ensure your post gets the attention it should, from those who can help out. For now, my understanding is that the rules are essentially the same as the current rules in this forum as they regard requests for assistance, posting of Hijack This logs and related matters.

General security discussions, including general discussions of procedures and threats, still belong here. But direct requests for help should be directed to the new forum. Refer to »Security Cleanup FAQ »So...What is this Forum all about?, and the forum FAQ, generally, for additional information to orient yourself and get started using the new forum.

... pending further information, which will be relayed to you by Wildcatboy or our new forum host, a big welcome to our new cleanup host, lilhurricane See Profile, and our newest security related forum, Security Cleanup.

All yours, now. Doors are open, and all needing cleanup help should now direct their requests, again, to the »Security Cleanup forum. Thank you.

Golllee! Lisa, what next?. With the Software forum now Security Cleanup, you're a real terror for work.

Well done and warmest congratulations.

In my opinion a special forum for the cleanup of malware infections was long overdue.

Congratulations, Lisa

A forum like this is overdue

There are too many requests for infection help these days that it's drowning out everything else. Not that I'm knocking them, I've been in that boat a couple times and when you've got a problem..., but someone else was having the same problem and I tried the methods they used [you can learn a lot from reading those posts] and they worked for me also.

So while I might not be posting there much, I'll be lurking, reading & learning.

An EXCELLENT idea! "Security" is such a broad concept that this split is only going to be helpful. Thanks!
