I know, works great. On-demand is there and working, with content slowly growing, and HDTV is out sometime next year.
I think most telcos realize that extra bandwidth is needed, but are being quiet about deploying the infrastructure to do it. SaskTel is doing fine with ADSL for the moment, but upgrades are quietly in progress. MTS used VDSL for their service, doing things through a staggered release as the areas were upgraded to offer the bandwidth.
