Out west, we have Telus offering a limited (read: less than 1000 houses) deployment of IPTV but.... no HDTV. Unless the telco's can get some serious bandwidth through their wires to deliver HDTV, they will only be able to capture a shrinking portion of the tv market. Once they can deliver HD and onDemand, it's an even ball game and hopefully we'll see price wars like the gas price wars of times apast and great value being delivered to the consumer! |
