| [Vonage] Trouble with outbound calls
I am posting this to see if any of you have a solution for two of my issues.
1. The first issue arrives when I make a few calls to Puerto Rico as of Dec. 24, the phone will ring but when I look at the activity lights (ie. DSL, router, PAP2) the lights are not flickering all are just solid. And the phone will ring 10 or more times and then the call will just be dropped altogether.
2. The second issue I'm having is that whenever I make calls, local or long distance, sometimes the person on the other line will pick up say hello a few times and as we have a hello festival they will hang up and calling them from my cell phone will reveal that they did not hear me.
I tried calling Vonage on this problem and the support rep not only was hinting at me that I was probably was imagining my problem but even told me that I should call Vonage when I'm having problems with the 2nd issue... and I explained to the guy well if I called and no one listens then how are you going to fix my problem? Any help would be greatly appreciated, thank you for your time. -- The day ECC comes out for the mind I'll be the first to buy it |

2 edits | I know that there where some problems today in the Miami and some other areas, but that should of been cleare up.
Have you tried rebooting the Modem and Router? Also, what equipment are you using, and in what config are they (Modem, Router, Adapter ie).

| I have a Westell 6100 Modem with Verizon 1.5/384, but just to put into account, I've had this issue for about 2 months now. I had Verizon when I started, then got Charter (problem still happened) and then went back to DSL over a billing issue. I have rebooted both the router and modem hundreds of times with no prevailing solution to both problems, I have the linksys PAP2 adapter, and a Linksys WRT54G ver.4 router between the dsl and the adaptor, and I also have a Uniden 5.8ghz digital phone (which has no relevance I suppose) I really thought of this issue as a problem with the other person but realized it was all me. -- The day ECC comes out for the mind I'll be the first to buy it |
