| Cisco 877 - Display ADSL infomaiton
Hi
Can anyone help me please; we have got a CISCO 877 router and would like to find out the connection details of my line in the IOS. For example what is the Line up/down rate, Transmit Power (dB) and of course is the line synchronize
It seem to be a problem if the ISP goes down I have no way of knowing if line fault or an ISP fault.
Can someone please help? I sure it a simple command as my netgear seem to display all this.

| reply to michaelr7 michaelr, it may be that some Cisco routers just give a better SNR than the 877. It's a great bit of kit but remember a WIC-ADSL1 on it's own costs as much as an 877 so it may give a better SNR.
Of course I may also be talking crap - do they have polls on this forum?
BTW, glad that helped Rob. |

| Actually I've found that the WIC-ADSL1 is very slight worse than an 837 (less than half a dB lower with the WIC-ADSL1) on average. Both are far better than the numbers reported by the 877.
FWIW - a dsl SNR below 6 dB results in a lot of errors. 4.0dB SNR and it won't work. |
