They're just going to delay the inevitable

Unfortunately the FCC will get their way. This rule will probably get thrown out since the FCC is overstepping their authority, but congress will take up the issue and mandate this anyway. Unfortunately, as far as things like privacy and civil liberties go, things will undoubtedly get worse before they get better.
