Flooded with "WARNING(virus check bypassed)"

For the last few days nearly every message I get through InsightBB's mail server has "WARNING(virus check bypassed):" inserted into the topic.

The mail server is mail.insightbb.com, accessed via SSL.

Anybody else seeing this behavior?

Thanks.

I also had the problem this morning with one email infected with the sober32 virus. Luckily, my anti virus program caught it. I have the Insight mail spam filter enabled and it still got through.

The new Sober virus is going around like mad. I have a fairly small server with less than 200 users and I've gotten pounded with that thing. My Anti-Virus filter has been going crazy stopping it and I've been trying to block IP's it's coming from. Chances are Insights virus filter got bogged down by it and they had to turn it off temporarily or something.

I don't have the insight spam filter enabled, and in the last few days I've been getting that message on about 10% of mail coming through insight. I checked the headers on one of them, and it was received by sccqmxc96.asp.att.net, so maybe att is adding the message and doing the virus filtering?

The earliest mention of this message in usenet sems to be this 2003 thread: »groups.google.com/group/alt.comp···7f867b13

The original poster in that thread, and the second poster in that thread who also reported getting the messages, were comcast customers, who also would have gotten their mail through att.
